African Excursions

The town of Maun is historically known as the capital for the Batawana people since 1915 and has gradually turned into the tourism capital of the country over the past decade(s). Maun is also dubbed the gateway to the Okavango Delta because it boasts as either a first stop for tourists arriving into the country through the Maun International Airport or as the last stop to get necessities, supplies and services that are not accessible while in the wilderness.

In this package, the Maun Getaway Experience gives our potential clients the opportunity to explore the town of Maun and get to spend 3 nights, 4 days at Rustic Gate Getaway which provides luxury chalets and tented accommodation options. The facility is electrically fenced and includes a bar, a lounge with television services, a swimming pool, Wi-Fi access and entertainment such as music, volleyball, chess and darts. Sitting 10 kilometres away from the Maun town centre, Rustic Gate Getaway gives clients serene, peace and quiet atmospheres similar to the Okavango Delta for clients to ‘escape completely’ from the busy thrills of their residing towns and cities. Additionally, safari excursions are available too i.e. game drives, boat cruises, helicopter rides, horse-back rides & camel rides are options. Escape completely in this short but jam packed experience in the tourism capital of Botswana!
